I was hesitant to post this on tumblr, because I know the notes would turn into a shit show, but I’m tired of the fetishization (in the actual meaning of the term) of doms.
I’m tired of the way people talk about doms as scary, aggressive, cold, etc, and the way they’re treated like little more than machines that exist to dispense satisfaction to subs.
Doms are routinely talked about in a way that strips them of their humanity and reduces them to a prop in submissive fantasies. Which is totally cool when you’re talking about fantasies, and fiction. But not cool when you’re talking about the actual people participating in your romantic and sexual life.
Please remember that doms are romantic partners. Sexual partners. Friends. Doms are people who also require intimacy, trust and affection, and who have their own limits and squicks.
Doms are not just scary props.
Luffy’s fingers snaked sensually up the chain like it was a part of Zoro’s body until he grabbed the collar tight and pulled him up sharply.
“Captain.” Zoro’s breath was rough as the collar bit into him, sending a shiver through his body.
It made Luffy giggle, his grin bright in the darkness. He snatched up Sanji’s collar too, yanking it until the two crewmates were at eye level.
The cook looked flustered, and that put a smirk on Zoro’s face. He watched him swallow, throat bobbing thickly. “Captain.”
“You two look great like this.”
He tugged them closer together.
Nibs was the boldest and the strongest of the Lost Boys, and he knew things Peter didn’t.
Nibs knew how to read and write, and, as he had demonstrated to Wendy before, he knew what a kiss was as well. This, to his surprise, had delighted Wendy to no end. She’d become fond of dragging him off where the others couldn’t see, and checking to make certain he hadn’t forgotten.
He didn’t mind, but he worried about what would happen when Peter found out. He certainly wouldn’t approve, and Nibs was bravely anticipated facing down his wrath for Wendy’s sake.
